Now in it’s 8th generation, Roku is a line of digital media players first introduced and developed in May 2008 in collaboration with Netflix, offering access to streaming media content from a wide variety of services. With an estimated 39.8 million users active users as of the 31st of March 2020 and 13.2 billion streaming hours, Roku is the biggest media content platform in the USA and South America, and is rapidly making headway into the European and Asian markets. Roku boxes are currently available in UK shops like Tesco, Asda, and Currys PC- World.

Founded in 2019, LERN TV was the first UK channel to be featured in the Roku Channel Store behind Netflix and the BBC. Running on a subscription-based model, LERN TV offers a wide variety of content, including educational programming such as inspirational documentaries and online classes covering a wide area of topics including mindfulness and wellbeing.
